Morning meditation, Sooke, B.C.
Petunias swing on a wire hanger,
fog clouds the sun.
You are close by, no doubt,
a hair’s width.
Hush now, let go of word-chatter.
Clouds gather & leave
(breath, coming & going).
Hummingbird hovers
in the flute of petunia’s scent.
Practice flying.
All your life you need
to know this
point of exit,
entry.
